The 2008 API Hepatitis B Community Forum was a big success! Over 100 participants from academia, research, medical, non-profit, and the API community were in attendance on Tuesday, April 1st in Seattle’s International District. They networked, watched the International Community Health Services receive the 2008 API Hepatitis B award, heard from a keynote speaker, and shared outreach ideas. Jeff Caballero from the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) talked about AAPCHO services and updated the audience about other national API hepatitis B efforts. View his presentation here (.pdf). Several of the slides (22 and 26) will take a few minutes to download properly – thanks for your patience. View the photos here.
We hope you enjoyed the evening; we look forward to continuing the work with YOUR involvement! Many thanks to the Steering Committee and Task Force volunteers for planning and coordinating the event. If you attended but did not submit your discussion notes, you can email or fax them to Kim Nguyen at kimn@withinreachwa.org or 206.270.8891. If you would like to be added to the Task Force email list, let Kim know as well.
